PLEASE-PUT UP A LAWN SIGN! The more we have,
the more impact we can make on creating a GE Free
Vermont! Lawn signs are red with white block lettering
and say: Time Out! No GMOs (and the gefreevt.org
web site)
For a picture of a lawn sign, go to http://www.gefreevt.org
Vermont has a long tradition in voicing our opinions
in as many ways as we can. The GE FREE VERMONT
Campaign has pooled funding for lawn signs to
be placed around the state. Lawn signs are a proven
method for getting ones voice heard-and more importantly,
letting our legislators know that we want them
to take a stand on this issue, to know that thousands
of Vermonters are concerned about genetic engineering-what
it's impact is on their farms , their food and
the environment. This election cycle is our opportunity
to get out the message and raise the issue!
Below is a list of individuals who have volunteered
to distribute lawn signs from their homes. The
money for these signs came from individuals ,
primarily Windham County Genetic Engineering Action
Group (WCGEAG) folks down in Brattleboro ,so a
suggested donation---if able-- of 5 dollars or
more would really help to pay them back for their
personal investment! If you do not see a distributor
near you, or would like to volunteer yourself-please
contact Bayard Littlefield of Vermont Genetic
Engineering Action Network at vtgean@sover.net
or 802-272-9536
