The Campaign issues an Action Alert when we determine there is a politician, government agency or or company that needs to hear from concerned citizens. Here are the Action Alerts in effect right now:

Contact the Republican Presidential Candidates and ask each of them to go on record with their position on whether or not he will support mandatory labeling of genetically engineered foods if elected to be president.

Contact your U.S. House Representative and ask him or her to co-sponsor Representative Dennis Kucinich's bill, The Genetically Engineered Food Right to Know Act, when it gets introduced before Congress.

Contact the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), your U.S. House Representative and your two U.S. Senators to address the issue of contamination of organic crops by GMOs from genetically engineered crops.

Contact Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns and tell him to place an immediate moratorium on the growing of any genetically engineered crops used to produce pharmaceutical drugs or industrial chemicals.

Contact your U.S. House Representative and two U.S. Senators about keeping "PharmCrops" out of our food supply. Ask them to support and co-sponsor legislation that would restrict the open-air growing of biotech crops that contain pharmaceutical drugs and industrial chemicals.
